Introduction
Welcome. You have just downloaded the sequel to the original Zone Runner, which was widely acclaimed to be very good. Zone Runner 1 was made in a week. This sequel was made in almost six months. However, I've worked on the premise that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Which is why this game features more of the same!
About The Game
If you've never played the original game, you might be wondering what all the fuss is about. Well, it's simple. You control a character, who must run through the zones (hence the name "Zone Runner") collecting coins. An incredibly simple idea, but one pulled off with such panache and flair that it soon becomes apparant that this game is more addictive than cigarettes. This game is more addictive than chocolate. This game is more addictive than biting your toenails. Each level in Zone Runner 2 is designed in a such a way that it is challenging, but rarely frustrating. And this is why the first game did so well.
Controls
It's ridiculously easy to understand. The left and right arrow keys move your Zone Runner in those respective directions, and SHIFT allows him to jump. One of the flaws which I didn't take into account for the first game was to allow joypad control. Well, you can play Zone Runner 2 with a joypad, depending on its control settings.
Obstacles
There are many, many obstacles to overcome in Zone Runner 2. Some are dangerous, some are not. However, all must be negotiated if the game is to be completed.
Saving And Secrets
Zone Runner 2 features a save system, instead of the God awful password option in the first game. After each zone is completed, the game will save, allowing you to play any of the previous ten stages at any time. Also, each time you complete a zone, you will unlock something. A little easter egg, I guess. Some are fun, some are not, but all are there.
